Dear Delegates and Advisors,
It is my pleasure to welcome you back to an in-person MUNI XXVI this year, and I hope you are as excited as we are for this renewed MUNI. I myself attended MUNI several times in high school and am looking forward to inaugurating its refreshed and renewed form this year, after several years of online MUNI resulting from COVID-19. We will offer all delegates a rewarding and stimulating experience, no matter your level of experience in Model UN.
Last year, I served as our USG for Registration, and I have been honored with selection as the Secretary-General for this year.
My name is Sasha Rushing, and am a junior studying history here at the University of Illinois. My belief is that Model United Nations is a path towards greater understanding of the world that we live in and share. My goal and hope is to provide all of you who attend with the opportunity to develop your understandings of the world that we live in, and the ways in which our various nations interact. I also hope that you will find this conference an opportunity to improve your skills in debate and public speaking, and to gain confidence in your interactions with others.
