World Health Organization

As the World Health Organization, you will be facing a pair of serious health issues, particularly affecting the developing world. COVID-19, while it may affect the responses you make to the other crises, is not the focus, even as its effects continue. A short version of the letter from the director contained in the background guide follows:

Hey everyone! My name is Simon and I will be your committee director and chair for the World Health Organization. I’m currently a freshman at U of I studying Quantitative Economics on a pre-med track. I competed in Model UN for all 4 years of high school, where I chaired UNEP, Security Council, and US Supreme Court for Carl Sandburg High School. Outside of MUN, I write for the Undergraduate Law Journal and volunteer with MedLife, a pre-med RSO. In my free time, I’m probably playing soccer, doing homework, or FaceTiming with my girlfriend! Look forward to meeting you all in March!
