About

At MUNI XXVII, UNESCO will address two interconnected global issues: Artificial Intelligence in Developing Nations and Bridging the Digital Divide in Education. AI holds the potential to transform healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure development, yet many developing countries currently lack the resources and frameworks necessary to leverage this technology effectively. Similarly, unequal access to educational technology perpetuates existing disparities, leaving millions unable to capitalize on AI-driven advancements. Our committee faces a clear challenge: How can we ensure that both AI and digital education technologies serve as tools for global advancement, rather than sources of deepening inequality?

As a Large General Assembly Committee, this committee will bring together diverse perspectives and policies, making collaboration in committee just as important as debate. We encourage you to think beyond your country’s position, seek creative alliances, and work with those who may not share your exact views. The most successful delegates will not only advocate for their nation’s interests but also find common ground to develop realistic, impactful solutions that benefit the entire United Nations.

We look forward to thoughtful debates, innovative ideas, and strong teamwork throughout the conference. Whether you’re new to Model UN or a seasoned delegate, this committee will challenge you to think critically and engage diplomatically. Beyond the debates we will have in committee, our hope is that this conference is a meaningful experience for everyone, and that each of you walks away having learned something valuable.
